About Red Light Therapy
Red Light Therapy is a simple, non-invasive treatment that works by stimulating the mitochondria in our cells to produce more energy. When our cells have more energy to function, we look, feel, and perform our best, which may help with…
faster wound healing
muscle recovery
pain and inflammation
memory and learning
sleep optimization
eczema and psoriasis
thyroid function
collagen production
skin health and rejuvenation
fat loss
training and performance
sports injuries
hair growth
testosterone production
sexual libido.
What to Expect
Before your session, shower and cleanse the skin at home. Do not use any oils, lotions, perfumes, or makeup. Drink at least 20-32 ounces of water.
When you arrive, we will review what issues you are treating with Red Light Therapy.
You will then be escorted to the treatment room. We will set the timer on the bed (up to 15 minutes) and show you how to start the bed. Clients with darker skin tones are recommended to have shorter treatments as the light will be absorbed more quickly.
We will then leave the room and close the door. You should fully disrobe for best results. If you prefer to wear under garments, make sure they are a light color, 100% cotton, with no metal. Dark clothing and synthetics will heat up and become uncomfortable.
You may need help raising/lowering the lid of the bed if you have an injury that makes it difficult or are just not strong enough. We will be happy to assist you.
After red light treatment is completed, you will redress and use the vibration plate for ten minutes. This assists the lymph system in ridding your body of toxins. You may forgo the vibration plate if you are going to the gym or exercising. Drink another 20-32 ounces of water.
RLT FAQs

Red Light Therapy is nontoxic and noninvasive. Unlike tanning beds, RLT does not use cancer-causing ultraviolet (UV) light. Since it is an emerging therapy, there is no long term data yet, but it has been shown to be safe with short term use. There is a risk that your eyes could be damaged if you do not use eye protection, but we will provide goggles to protect you during treatment. We also have goggles for purchase.

Tanning beds use ultraviolet (UV) light, which can cause cancer, just like the sun. RLT does not use UV light; it uses red and near infrared light to penetrate the mitochondria of cells increasing ATP.
